Monger, who was congratulated by the Prince of Wales for his success, which consists in raising funds for Comic Relief, believes that a chance for the glory of para-triathlon in Los Angeles is a possibility.
“Curiously, after spending a year of my life training for the triathlon and the Kona Ironman, my coaches Mark and Will, they slowly gave me the drip some clues here and there on Los Angeles in 2028, “he said. PA news agency.
“This is definitely something that they have made me think, that the Paralympic Games will take place in four years, but it could be a possibility.
“I loved the training process for Kona and I learned a lot throughout this experience, so I certainly never say.”
Monger, whose legs were amputated after being involved in an almost fatal accident while he ran to Donington Park in 2017, overcome jellyfish bites to take up the “most difficult challenge” of his life.
He finished swimming of 2.4 miles in 1:07:29, the cycle of 112 miles in 7:26:50 and the marathon in 5:26:26.

“It is a bit surreal to obtain royal opinion and the support of such a challenge. But it really means a lot of knowing that I had the whole nation behind me and I really felt this support throughout the process.
“I am absolutely delighted and really full of pride. It was a long trip and there have been many hours, many sacrifices to take up a challenge of this magnitude.
“At first, it was a bit of a chimera and go there and beat the world record of more than two hours, it was beyond my wildest expectations.”
Monger, who covered Formula 1 and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games during his career as a broadcaster, in addition to participating in Celebrity Race Across the World, collected 3.2 million pounds sterling for comic relief in 2021 while walking , kayaking and cycling on 140 miles across England.
He hopes to go beyond this figure after the success of his last challenge, which was taken up in Hawaii in part thanks to the previous world record set by Sewell in 2019.
“There have been many mental and physical moments when it was impression that the body was close to the point of rupture,” said Monger, who always dreams of running in Formula 1.
“Who knows what is the next step for me?” What challenges are going beyond this? I don’t know.
“Motor sport has been my passion from a very young age, that’s what I know, so I would certainly exclude nothing from the point of view of motorsport.
A day that I will never forget 🤯 I feel the roller coaster of emotions at the moment, but above all I am so proud to have started this incredible trip with so many extraordinary people by my side! 🙌🏼 I feel full of pride from never giving up myself and my dream ❤️💪🏼 pic.twitter.com/wxjq0vfyu8

“But I also really liked being my own engine, which is the very essence of the Ironman and the Triathlon.
“The efforts I have made in training translate into performance on the day of the race, so it was good to get the most out of what I put.
“I’m still on the crest of a wave.”
