Louise Blizzard of the Warrington Athletics Club was successful during last week on contrasting land.
In the middle of the week, she made a rare appearance in cross-country, helping the British police to have a team success in the race of the SIR Sefton Branker Country Trophy at the Raf Halton in the Buckinghashire.
She finished 11th in women and with Amy Beck, Nia Nokes and Kate Alpe taking the first three places, Police easily won.
Blizzard then went to the Tarmac as she won the honors for women over 45 during the Helsby Running Club Villages Essar Marathon on Sunday, with a time of 1 h 31 min 37 s.
It is interesting to note that 30 years ago, Blizzard won the category of under 20s in this event, establishing a new record of course of 1 h 20 min 20 s, which it improved the following year at 1 h 18 min 33 s.
His teammate Steve Watmough also was among the medals on Sunday, crossing the finish line in 83rd place in the general classification in 1 h 22 min 14 sec to win the category of men over 60 years of age.
The race was won by the former Warrington Athletics Club runner Danny Cliffe, who now contributes to the Hercules Wimbledon AC in London, with a time of 1 h 7 min 20 s.

In 10th place was James Horman, the second pretender, who presented himself for his first club, the Liverpool Harriers, in 1 h 12 min 31 s to win the category of men over 45.
Elsewhere, Leah Poole, athlete of the under 15 of Warrington AC, went to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow to participate in the 4J Studios Scottish Athletics National Indo Open.
In the 60 m series, she finished eighth in her race with 8.92 seconds, then third in her 200 m race with a personal record of 28.84 seconds.
