Tyrrell Hatton broke a t-shirt box, received a severe telling a civil servant then, after fighting with a whim before the last day of the Dubai Desert Classic, “said:” I don’t want to be boring like everyone.

Love him or hate him – or love his golf course and his despair to his anger attacks – English is anything but dull. The 33 -year -old man is a bubbling contradiction, because he can exasperate at the same time as he seizes. And at a time when the modern archetypal golfer impresses decline audiences with the monotony of the flawless ball at the same time as the conduct of the same spectator to move to the monotony of their characters, Hatton is the poster for emotion. Good and bad.

This third round at the Emirates Golf Club was a head of the head. Very determined to collect as many points of Ryder Cup as possible in his last regular qualification tournament, the man of the liv fired a 69 to go to 12 sous and on the heels of the first cycle of New Zealand Daniel Hillier (70 ).

Moving day. Except that the thing that Hatton was moving the most was the bad marker of the seventh par-three t-shirt which received the complete treatment of the FawlTy basil after his ball dared to fly at 50 feet after the spit.

He could have turned to the heavens and blame the gusts of 30 MPH, but there was something more substantial on which to eliminate his anger crisis. He was therefore spoken later. Sorry, but not sorry.

“I hope I can be a little more patient there when I need to be and keep this fire,” said Hatton. “Because if I lose that, I will just be boring, like everyone else.

“Yeah, I was told about what had happened when I signed my card. I have no problem with what has been said. I mean, I am aware that it is not the right thing to do. But in the heat of the moment you are frustrated, you do things you probably want to do. But I’m not going to be disturbed for the rest of the day. I mean, if it’s the worst thing I do as a human, then it’s not that bad.

Classic Hatton. His favorite golfer growing up was Colin Montgomerie and just like the Great Scottish, he carries his heart on his sleeve – and in all the blue air that accumulates around him. He cursed and rinsed all day, supporting the conditions and yet in a way managed to establish himself as the company’s favorite to win his second tour of tour in his last five departures.

Hatton’s other three appearances in this race were a third, a fifth and a sixth. It is desperate to win its place for a third appearance of Ryder Cup automatically and in this mood – and what mood it is – it could be unstoppable.

There are two shots at Ewen Ferguson in Scotland in third and seven behind six under a 69, stands Rory McILroy trying to win this event for the third consecutive time.
